Also spelled Luffa or Loofa, they are easy to grow and one plant will give you more than a year’s supply of sponges for bathing. Gunther Tiepelt, a good friend of Glen Seeds, gave us these seeds which he in turn received from one of his student’s whom claimed it was highly productive. The student’s claims were spot on, they really produce well!
Luffa is a summer crop and do not tolerate frost at all. It is part of the pumpkin family and care is similar. Note the vines of loofa can get really long and you should ensure plants have a high trellis to grow into.
