Cayenne Red Chilli
Named after the capital of French Guiana, the South American country the Red Cayenne Pepper originated from, this famous, "hot" variety of pepper has become highly prized for its unusually large and growing list of health benefits.
Attractive 10cm long tapered 'cow horn' shaped fruit are produced in large numbers on bushy and sturdy 50cm-1m tall plants.
As an highly sought after "super food", Red Cayenne Peppers are dried, roasted and ground to make Cayenne pepper, but fruit make amazing pickles, sauces and jams too.
