Long Keeper Tomato

The Long Keeper Tomato (or Burpee Longkeeper) was developed in the 1970's and introduced in 1979 by Burpee Seeds for its mind bogglingly long storage life of up to 4 months if selectively harvested!

The slow ripening fruit of the Long Keeper Tomato very slowly blossom through pink blush to a brilliant orange-red colour as they ripen.  Flavour is robust and fragrant. Long keeper can also stand a bit of cold making it good for early season and late season planting.
