Bloody Butcher Corn
Bloody Butcher corn is an old heirloom that reportedly was a staple feeding numerous families in many parts of the world during the Great Depression. Stunning dark red colouration aside, if you miss the flavour, taste and fullness of Mielies of yesteryear, we got good news for you! Cooked in the milk stage it makes for a healthy filling side or dry and ground down for a bowl of mieliepap that taste sublime with a pretty pink tint. Of course you can spare a few for decorative purposes, they are that good looking!
Bloody Butcher corn is hardy and grows high. Sturdy plants produce 1 to 2 very large ears.
Approximately 60 seeds
