These varieties has been grown for many years by his family in the KZN province of South Africa. Ashok does not know the actual name, its just that his family been growing it for years, so we decided to name the two varieties after him. They are however not the same, these varieties produce larger bulbs.
Plants are robust, with extra long leaves, bulbs are large with medium to large sized cloves. Soft neck variety.
