Ashok Pink Garlic

Ashok Pink garlic is a garlic variety that produce extra large bulbs, In fact of the biggest you can get from a soft neck garlic, they are easy to grow with relative quick maturity.

We received a white and pink garlic variety from our good friend Ashok, and outstanding vegetable farmer. These varieties has been grown for a long time by his family in the KZN province of South Africa. Ashok does not know the actual name so we decided to name the two varieties after him. We suspect that these two varieties originated through trait selection from the popular Egyptian white and Pink garlic  strains. They are however not the same, we have been growing these side by side with the Egyptian garlic varieties and they do behave differently.

Plants are robust, with extra long leaves, bulbs are large with medium sized cloves. Soft neck variety.
