Clemson Spinless Okra

Clemson Spineless Okra is known for its tenderness, where Okra can get very hard and stringy if not harvested quick, Clemson Spineless will forgive you if you leave the pods on the plants for a bit longer.

Okra is family of the Hibiscus and makes pretty flowers that makes the plant an edible ornamental in the books of Glen Seeds.  Okra must be harvested within five days after the flowers appeared when the pods are still small and tender.

Plants grow to approximately 1.5 meters in good conditions, they thrive in hot humid areas but frankly does well in any part of South Africa.
