Black Palm Kale
Black Palm Kale is from Tuscany in Italy and goes by many different names, whichever name you prefer to call it, it stays an all round winner.
Kale is cooked like spinach and on balance a bit healthier than spinach. Many people prefer to remove the stem completely from the leaves when cooking, but taste differ. Kale can be mixed into stir fries for a rich tasty addition.
Plants can grow large with high yields, when harvesting kale, always harvest leaves from the bottom. They should give you an extended harvest. Kale does best planted in the cooler seasons Autumn, Winter and Spring. Kale is frost tolerant and flavour improves when exposed to frost.
