Sweet Genovese basil is probably the most common basil variety known. Stable and consistant with just the right flavour you expect from basil.

Plant basil in rich well composted soil, keep picking leaves and pinch out flower stalks for a longer production period. Basil is an annual that does not tolerate frost or extreme cold. Very suitable to grow in pots or flower boxes
