Painted Mountain Corn

Painted mountain corn was developed by in the seventies by a grower from Montana with the name of Dave Cristensen. Through carefull selection and hand pollination of  hundreds of heirloom corn varieties  he developed a unique and interesting corn that when grown comes out in all sorts of unexpected colour variations.

Painted mountain corn is relatively drought resistant, and yield quick. It is a great tasting corn cooked as a green mielie, and has an above average nutritional content.
