Thai Dragon Chilli
The Thai Dragon Pepper is an extremely hot chilli that originated in Thailand where the Thai people do not even have a word for "Sweet Pepper". These highly decorative ornamental edible green ripening to red upward- (or heaven-) facing chillis grow on extremely high yield, suitably sturdy, heavy bearing plants. A single plant can bear upwards of 200 chillis in a single season
Being of Thai decent, the Thai Dragon Pepper has the a fiery heat that builds slowly to a crescendo and then dissipates equally slowly. A mainstay in Thai and Vietnamese cooking and a common ingredient in authentic Thai curries and curry pastes. Thai Dragon Chillis dry well and have an extraordinarily long storage life.
