Apocalypse Scorpion Chocolate Chili

Apocalypse scorpion peppers has been developed in the early 2000’s by an Italian growing organisation called AIA SP. They did not release any details on the origin’s of the Apocalypse Chili, however it is fair to assume from the heat and shape that the original Trinidad scorpion has something to d with it.  The Apocalypse Scorpion Chocolate Chili Pepper is extremely hot, in our view it gets pretty close to the Carolina Reaper. It has a very distinct flavour profile which can be best described as a sharp fresh aroma, with the chocolate version having an added smokey profile too it.  People that can handle the heat on the Apocalypse Scorpion Chilli report that the taste is outstanding.

Apocalypse Scorpion Chillies are not the fastest producers around but it is definitely worth the wait. The chocolate version is particularly pretty with its large shiny dark pods.
